Role Title


Production Operative


Based at Hampton Loade, Nr Bridgnorth:

As a Company recognised for its excellence as a supplier of high quality drinking water, you will play a vital role in maintaining the efficient and continuous operation of our treatment works, 24 hours a day 365 days a year.


As part of a small dedicated team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the water treatment plant and all its associated equipment. In addition you will provide support to ensure that the Company’s standards of hygiene, building and grounds maintenance are achieved.


It is essential that you are flexible, with good communication, organisational and practical skills, with the ability to use your own initiative. You will have a good standard of education and ideally have a ONC (or equivalent) in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering. Due to the nature of the work, a good level of physical fitness is essential as is a full driving license for which a company van will be provided for business use.

Tasks
1. Operational Duties
  • Operation and maintenance of all production assets, to include pumping plant (fixed and mobile), generator equipment and water treatment processing plant.
  • To ensure that all activities are carried out in line with Company policy and procedures, external regulations and all current Health and safety requirements
  • Undertake water quality sampling of all assets to ensure compliance and availability.
  • Maintain chemical stock levels and undertake the acceptance of bulk delivered chemicals in line with Health and safety procedures.
  • To provide weekend cover for site specific duties.
2. Reports and documentation

To be responsible for the accurate completion and timely return of:

  • Time sheets
  • Chemical delivery paperwork
  • Routine and reactive work (AMI)
  • Quality system
  • Site log books
  • Training records (matrix and supporting evidence)
  • Borehole checks
3. Support Processes
  • To provide support and assistance to colleagues.
  • Assistance in pump testing and thermal imaging
  • To undertake 3rd party supervision of both internal and external customers.
4.Knowledge Transfer
  • To undertake on the job skills enhancement in order to improve the ability to resolve daily issues.
  • To transfer skills and expertise to colleagues and other internal departments and designated external customers.
